Both Redlands City Council and Redlands Unified School District Board will meet tonight, March 1, in the wake of updated California masking guidelines.
Beginning today in California, masks will no longer be required in indoor settings, regardless of vaccination status. After March 11, schools will also lose their masking requirements. Masks will remain "strongly recommended" indoors.
Right wing extremists have expressed plans to speak. The agenda lists "Update and Review of Current Mask Mandates" as well as a closed session with legal council about two cases of anticipated litigation.
City Council, which meets at 5, will discuss redistricting, a mid-year budget review, the declaring of March as Women's History Month, and the possibility of moving to at-large mayoral elections, among other items. Proponents of the warehouse moratorium are also expected to speak.
Check back with the People's Redlands Post for updates on both meetings.
